We utilize and develop systems genetics tools to explore biological mechanisms responsible for disease.

No longer is it strictly one gene, one disease. Bioinformatic and biostatistic tools have enabled us to explore how genes, transcripts, proteins, and metabolites (to name only a few) work together to make an individual more susceptible to disease, to produce observable symptoms of disease, and to initiate long term consequences of disease.
